At the ODBST, sustainability is a key strategic priority. With a Trust Eco lead, a short- and long-term action plan in place and quarterly meetings with school eco leads, we are proud to be years ahead of government targets, which puts us in a very strong position to decarbonise our schools and lead the way on sustainability.

The pupils themselves are the biggest credit to our green Trust attitude, with Eco Clubs across the schools being oversubscribed with enthusiastic young people who care passionately about the planet they live in. Pupils are given every opportunity to share this enthusiasm on a wider scale, with dedicated sections in our Trust newsletter, spots to talk at our leadership conferences and their very own Children’s Eco Summit, where children from across the Trust join to discuss what they are doing and what they are planning to make their schools more sustainable.
